Sir Henry Cooper Junior Championships – Safeguarding, Photography and Privacy

The safeguarding of juniors is a responsibility we take very seriously.

Kings Hill Golf Clubs Adult and Junior Safeguarding Policy is displayed on the club noticeboard.

There are three specific areas that we would bring to your attention:

Medical

By entering the tournament the competitor’s parent/guardian gives permission for the tournament’s responsible person to give the immediate necessary authority on their behalf for any medical or surgical treatment recommended by competent medical authorities, where it would be contrary to the competitor’s interest, in the doctors medical opinion, for any delay being incurred by seeking the parent’s/guardian’s consent

Where the parent/guardian feels that there is medical information that the medical authorities should be aware of, please mention this as part of the medical details section on the online registration form.

This information will be treated in strictest confidence however please be aware that this information will be passed to the Medical Emergency services should the need arise.

Photography

By entering the competition, the competitor’s parent/guardian gives permission for photographs and video images of the competitor to be taken and published and for such images to be associated with the competitor’s name and club.

Privacy Policy

The Competition Committee is committed to ensuring that the privacy of its competitors and volunteers is protected.
This Privacy Notice states how information provided by competitors and volunteers will be used.

Competitors

The personal information provided by prospective competitors via the Online Entry is used solely by the Competition’s Commitee to affect the ballot and hence determine those that have been successful in that ballot and to notify all prospective competitors whether or not they have been successful in the ballot.

In addition, our IT service provider, Golf Genius, will have access to all personal data provided.

Payment card information provided is held by Stripe and is not held in our online entry system.

The following information will be made public:
• Name, club, handicap – will be published on the website during the entry process to inform competitors of their position in the prospective ballot
• Name, club – will be published on the website for the start sheets
• Name, club, score – may be published in conjunction with any publicity material, reports, or photographs pertaining to the tournament
• Name, club, nationality, score – will be published on the live leaderboard
• Name, club, CDH no, score – will be provided to the handicapping authorities for handicap adjustments
• Name, club, score – will be provided to the World Amateur Golf Ranking agency at the end of the tournament.

Volunteers

The personal information provided by volunteers will be used by the Competition Committee and Head of Marshals to compile duty rosters and email addresses will be stored so that individuals can be contacted in future years to ask for assistance.

Names will be made public on the duty rosters.

HOST VENUE- KINGS HILL GOLF CLUB, KENT

Kings Hill Golf Club, Kent extends a warm welcome as it proudly plays host to the prestigious Sir Henry Cooper Junior Championships. Nestled amidst picturesque landscapes, the club opens its doors to the young and talented golfers under the age of 18, creating an inviting atmosphere for both players and spectators alike.

Set in over 200 acres of undulating terrain, Kings Hill Golf Club features large areas of protected heath and mature woodland. The 6,600 yard par 72 golf course has been built to the highest specifications, with USGA standard greens and tees.

Practice facilities include a full length practice range, a short game practice area and putting green.
